Thank you. What you said about upbringing is almost exactly what my wife has said numerous times.

Obviously from my other comments I do not know what it is like to grow up as a girl. I do know that growing up a boy is different than growing up as a girl. I have two sisters and a brother and I know we boys were not treated the same as our sisters, and it was the same in our neighborhoods, schools, societies, etc. I can empathize with my wife's (and your) point of view, even if I didn't live it myself.

Regarding sex and gender being equivalent up until a couple of years ago I would have completely agreed with you, and on a personal level, I still do -especially about privacy.

However, in the last couple of years biological sex and gender became a serious hot topic that is impossible to avoid if you are active in any way on social media.
