Since that is not what happened: Ukraine was not a peaceful neighbor and the war (until now) has not been genocidal, Ukraine's EU neighbors (I'm one of them) have had a mixed response. We feel horrible for the civilians in Ukraine, but also know that there is more than just some truth to the Russian jusifications for their invasion.

Shortly put: There are no good guys in this fight except for the civilians, which makes it impossible (for me) to take a stand for one side or the other.
