Sadly, Bernie had the words but not the backbone to really fight for a revolution. I was all in (time and max donations) in 2016.

If you want to displace the establishment, you have to be willing to call them out and say why you'd be better. Bernie wouldn't do that with Hillary and the D establishment when the going got tough (early on he was tougher). In 2020 he was pathetic against "his friend Joe." It made me very sad.

All that being said, if Bernie had fought harder, he probably still would have lost, because the Dems would have cheated even more than they already did.

Regarding internationally, Corbyn in the UK is tougher than Bernie and he also got stabbed in the back by his own team. Granted, he made a real tactical error with his stance on Brexit, but that was the internal trap he should have avoided.

It really is depressing to see how the bottom 80% of earners in the US are getting shafted by the system. Hope springs eternal, but right now I don't see a real leftest leader willing to stand up to the D/R machines.
