Sadly agree. It is a continuation (to my mind) of what started with the Hobbit. The Hobbit could have been a huge hit, raking in Oscars. That could only happen if the Hobbit had been made before the LOTR. Instead we had Jackson undermining Galadriel, Saruman, Gandalf, etc. who all apparently forgot that Sauron was the necromancer for 77 years, even after the Fellowship is formed. Plus adding all kinds of Tolkien characters that weren't in the Hobbit. I digress...

Tolkien's world is being Disney-fied like Star Wars since it was bought by Disney. We're heading into Ewok Christmas special territory with both properties.

Fortunately for me, you continue to put out lists of other movies that I want to watch or rewatch. I recently saw a Tiktok dance video that showed books are still being written. I'll look into that rumor as well.
