Russia has stalled all the very impressive recent Ukraine advances.

- Near Kharkov, Russia is slowly pushing back.

- In Bakhmut, Russia has (allegedly) entered the city. Bakhmut is the linchpin in the last or second to last hard line of defense of Ukraine in the Donbas. A breakthrough there would be similar to what happened in/after Popasna a few months ago

- Russia has crushed the Ukraine offensives in Kherson since Wednesday (3 at least)

- Russia is brining in (up to) 300,000 reinforcements

- Russia has knocked out 40% of Ukraine's electrical grid since 10 October, seriously undermining Ukaine's ability to transfer reinforcements, men and materials across the country

- The US has deployed combat troops to just over the border in Romania, and allowed US TV media to embed and film them training in preparation for going into Ukraine

- Zelensky has called on the US to launch a nuclear first strike on Russia

- Zelensky has called on the US to launch a major stike (not sure if he said nuclear) if his office or street in Kyiv is hit

- Ukraine has said their domestic economy has collapsed and only through Western help can they survive

- Russia has at yet shown no concrete signs that they are running out of missles and artillery

- The US is saying ever louder that the ONLY thing that would bring them into the war is some "horrible thing" that Russia would do

- Biden and other top US functionaries are claming (falsely) that Putin said he might use a tactical nuke in Ukraine (Putin just said Russia has other weapons that the west does not).

This situation is VERY similar to 2018 Syria, when ISIS was losing to Russian forces supporting Syria, and the "red line" for the US was a gas attack.

The last thing Syria or Russia wanted was for the US to get directly involved in Syria.

Thanks to great reporting by Aaron Maté, anlysis by MIT’s Theodore Postol, and four brave OPCW whistleblowers, we know that the OPCW think that the 2018 Douma gas attack that brought the US into Syria was a false flag perpetrated by the The White Helmets, a group created by an ex-UK military veteran to pose as a humanitarian group, but in actuality the White Helmets only supported ISIS.

And here we are 4 years later.

- Russia is winning. Again.

- Russia's opponent is near to collapse. Again.

- Russia's opponent is calling for the US to get directly involved. Again.

- The US is saying there is a red line that would bring them directly into the war. Again.

- The US is saying EXACTLY what that red line is that would bring them into the war, a nuclear device.

But you expect us to believe that it is Russia would be the one to set off a nuclear device in Ukraine. FFS how stupid do you think we are?

Are you going to suggest next that the Russian demolition experts who "blew up their own Nordstream I and II pipelines" causing billions of dollars in damages to Russia, hundreds of billions in potential lost revenue to Russia, and the loss of political leverage over the EU an particularly Germany are now in Ukraine getting ready to set off a nuclear device so that the last thing Russia wants in Ukaine - direct US / NATO involvement - will come to pass?

Again, FFS how stupid do you think we are?

Can you not at least try something a little less fucking obvious and dangerous for the entire world?

I'm not in favor of Russia's invasion. I'm really not in favor of Russia's destruction of Ukraine's power grid and thus economy.

What I'm even LESS in favor of is WWIII and a nuclear fucking war over Ukraine, who noone in the west outside of the neocons and those with direct ties gave a rat's ass about before February 24, 2022.
