Read the Hamas’ charter. Read the Likud party platform. Likud's is worse. Listen to Israel's defense minister. He sounds like Himmler describing Jews in the 1930s, and what the Nazis are going to do to the Jews.

Hamas is a resistance group and in many eyes (mine sometimes) a terrorist organization. Israel's top government officials sound EXACTLY like Hamas. Israel has the means to commit genocide. Hamas does not.

It has taken 80 years for the horrible trauma inflicted on the Jews in Europe to turn the Israeli government (IMO not a majority of Jews, maybe not even a majority of Jews in Israel) into exactly the monsters they escaped in Germany. It is an immense tragedy. The abused child that grows up to become an abuser.
