Probably true? We have the leaked cables where the US directly threatened / enticed the no-confidence vote. Then Khan - one of the wealthiest men in Pakistan - is charged with petty corruption (e.g. taking small gifts like a watch). The charges against Khan are completely political.
Khan's "crimes" are:
1) Not bowing to the military head (IIRC the nickname title of Bajwa is "super general"); and
2) Being "aggressively neutral" (quote from the US State department) on the US proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.
It is no coincidence that since Khan's removal, Pakistan started producing lots of shells for the US MIC.
