Private health insurance can never work as well as government because the best long term healthcare plan is based on early and continued prentive care. There is no short term profit in early and preventive care — the huge payout is decades later in significantly lower care for middle-aged and seniors. Since there is no short term profit in preventive care, private healthcare doesn’t offer it — just as it is now in the US.
