Palestine was occupied by a foreign force (the Ottoman Empire). A different Empire took over the occupation. That does not give the English empire legitimacy to "give away" Palestine to someone else.

Yes, that is a 21st-century point of view, but we live in the 21st century and not in the 19th or 20th. Settler colonialism is no longer accepted. Ethnic cleansing as was used in the forming of the US, Canada, and Australia, to name three, is no longer acceptable.

Jews have the right to live anywhere in peace and practice their religion in peace. That is also a 21st- century point of view. The persecution of Jews in the past does not give them the right to create an enthnostate in occupied lands. It is that simple.
