No, you don’t. You both need to enjoy/tolerate spending time with friends and relatives from both sides who treat you — and your partner, with respect. That includes respecting differences of basic opinion (including the relative goodness of Maroon 5!), different life choices that don’t hurt anyone, and differences in who you choose as your partner.
Maybe you’re coming from the perspective that relatives are all nice people. Many aren’t. If your family treats her poorly and you expect her to accept that and get along with them, you’re heading for a breakup. If your family treats you poorly and you accept it and she doesn’t, you’re also heading for a breakup. The same goes for friends.
