No Georgia wouldn't disagree. The US MSM would, and still does. The EU (OSCE IIRC) investigated, but that was after the US MSM had already declared Russia the bad guy. Similar to Assad gassing his own people in Duma, babies taken out of incubators in Iraq (1991), WMDs (2003), Libyan viagra rape soldiers (2011), Gulf of Tonkin (1964), etc., we drop bombs and only later does the truth come out.
Yanukovych changed his mind is justification for an armed coup backed by the US?! US senators and Nuland on the ground fomenting an actual coup? LOL. Your statement is the perfect Western sentiment about the rest of the world. Every country can be be sovereign as long as they choose what the US wants.
Saying someone disagreeing with you is "parroting Putin's propaganda" is an empty argument. You have nothing. Putin says the sky is blue and water is wet. Just because Russia says it doesn't make it false. What I wrote is documented in western media. Probably Russian too, but I don't read Russian or follow their press.
Ukrainians are not a monolith. Western Ukrainians definitely don't want to join Russia. Those in the East most definitely do - and did. That was the state since 1991, which is why Ukraine stayed neutral between the West and the East - and profited handsomely from that position. Prior to the coup a majority in Ukraine did NOT want to join NATO and were almost evenly split on joining the EU (slightly more against).
Yanukovych got a better deal from Russia in 2014 than he got from the West. He learned the hard way that you don't get to say "No" to Victoria Nuland. We in Europe learned that, too, as Nuland said, and I quote, "Fuck the EU."
The EU is sovereign as well, until we do something the US doesn't like. Then we (the US) blow up Germany's multi-billion Euro pipeline. Now German energy costs are 4-6 times what they were before the war.
