My wife (whose grandfather survived Buchenwald) and I have discussed Musk's "Heil Hitler" at length. It is clear what he did to my wife who grew up in the former Warsaw Pact.

Musk is about my age. Any average intelligent man of our age in the West knows by age 12 not to make a Heil Hitler salute in public. Anyone who has done public speaking knows this even better. Anyone in a leadership role who has to make public statements knows this even better. Musk has been a public figure, leader, and public speaker for decades. This isn't an "asperger's thing" it is a "Nazi thing."

My wife's point (which I agree with) is that it doesn't matter if Musk isn't an "active Nazi" or "just" a white supremacist. He's a Nazi.

Musk supports the AFD in Germany, the fascistic coupling of big business and government (uh, DOGE, Space-X, etc.), and now he just "Sieg Heil"-ed. Twice. I don't have to see him in a brown shirt with a swastika armband to call a spade a spade.

BTW: I've always heard the saying as, "What do you have if there are 10 Nazis and one person having dinner? 11 Nazis having dinner."

I think that makes more sense because if you are 11 people having dinner you probably don't know all of them that well and might not know if Günter at the other end of the table is a Nazi. If 10 are Nazis and you choose to have dinner with them then you're choosing to have dinner with at least one known Nazi (you're not going to go to dinner with 10 strangers) and probably quite a few. No excuse there.
