Maybe "picture-perfect" but that picture was a facade. You don't get a vasectomy without discussing it first with your wife unless you don't see her as your partner. Even if in the end it is your decision, like a woman getting an abortion, it is definitely "her business" as well as your business.

So it looks like you had a secret and she had a secret. I would say that hers is worse, but then, if you had a vasectomy and didn't tell her, who knows what other secrets you might have but have not shared here.

Also as others have noted, you need to have your sperm count checked to know for sure if you are sterile. I've had a vasectomy and when I had it done they told me I needed that test about six weeks later to be sure. Sometimes the vasectomy is not 100%.
