LOL. We couped Australia in 1975. India was a British colony and is only in the last couple of years shaking off that yoke (note they are still buying Russian oil, and now in Roubles). The Philipines was a US colony, and we're happy with whatever dictator is there, as long as they let the US do what we want (note that is the same all over the world, not just the Philipines).

Like with NATO, we pressure other countries to do what we want and then say, "See? They asked us to come in!"

Your last sentence gets back to the heart of the matter. It ain't our fucking territory. US sovereignty. ends 12/200 miles off our coastline. We have interests around the world, but not sovereignty. They are not the same thing.

You can park your car on your neighbor's driveway for 20 years. Even if you are best friends and business partners, it doesn't make it your driveway to do with what you want.
