Just get out, huh? What about the people of the Donbass who were being shelled for 8 years, 15k dead? Before Russia marched in, Ukraine had amassed 60-100k troops on the border and ramped up shelling by 5x. All the people in the Donbass just die and Russia isn't allowed to protect them?

If that is your position, then why doesn't that apply to the US. In Yugoslavia in 1999? In Libya in 2011. In Syria in 2013. That is only looking at internal conflicts since the fall of the USSR.

The US backed a violent coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine. THAT is when the shooting started: with that coup. WE did that. What were John McCain and Victoria Nuland doing in Kyiv in 2013 (and earlier) meddling openly in Ukraine's election?

Russia definitely is assaulting Ukraine. What is clear is that from 1991 till 2014 Russia and Ukraine got along peacefully. It was only when WE helped overthrow the democratically elected government (there were 2500 election observers at the last Ukraine presidential election stating it was clean) that the violence started.

There are no "good guys" in Ukraine except for the civilians and the conscripts fighting for their country. The Ukrainian government, the Russian government, and US government are all bad actors. The sad fact is that a brutal semi-dictator like Putin is in this case probably the least bad of the three. That is a sign of how fucked up the situation is.
