"Jealous" is a personal term. The US is not a jilted girlfriend angry because Germany is taking Russia to the prom.

This is about power and money. Russia and Germany are closer geographically and culturally than Germany and the US. Them doing business together makes more sense than Germany being subservient to the US because...the US says Germany must be constantly afraid of Russia, buy US weapons to defend themselves against Russia, and have permanent military bases filled with US troops (ostensibly) to protect Germany from Russia.

As the decades have gone by since the end of the USSR the relationship between Germany and the US looks more like a mob protection racket than anything else.

Since the UK/US blew up Germany and Russia's Nordstream Pipelines it looks even more like a mob protection racket.
