I've worked out naturally for decades, and maintain a body closer to the "after" photo than the "before" photo. I'm 188 (used to be 189) about 84 kg and under 10% body fat. I look far more muscular than most guys my weight as I have quite small joints. I get leaner in the summer when I ride my bike to the gym but still don't get to "after." That's me establishing my "street cred."
Your basic points are spot on:
1) Hanton's 17kg of muscle in 8 weeks transformation is virtually impossible, and absolulely impossible without steroids
2) The fitness industry for men (and women) is based on lies.
I have several quibbles with your points on what is possible and not:
1) How many workouts is optimum - 20 sets per muscle group per week over 2 or 3 days is the near concensus; 1x per week is not enough
2) How much muscle you can add even while reducincg fat - better results are possible than what you list, even for experienced lifters, but you really have to watch your nutrition
3) FFMI of 25 as a "well defined limit" is not universally accepted. I definitely agree that over 25 the odds of an athlete being natural drop massively, but maybe you summarized poorly.
4) You can work out 2-3 times a day and recover, you just can't do it naturally. Guys juicing can workout super hard and "recover" fully quickly, just note that many of them will die young or have severe health issues later in life
I note that my quibbles are just that. In general it is a really good and well researched post.
