I’ve been running my own successful company for more than 25 years. Let me give you some advice on how to integrate your supply chain, increase efficiency and reduce costs all at once.

Stop standing in line at Starbucks to spend $5 on a 25¢ cup of coffee. Buy a machine that grinds whole beans for $250 and put it in your office. The quality is equivalent. You can pick your own beans and have more control over their provenance. The time you save not standing in line pays for itself in a couple of days (maybe one day). You can spend the time brainstorming and building rapport with your team members. The only “downside” is that you will not be funding Howard Schultz’s next failed presidential run.

Best of all, instead of walking in the rain to the next Starbucks, you can pet your dog and kiss your wife (or vice versa), which helps a lot with that work:life ratio.

You’re welcome!
