It’s not just America. I don’t know about the whole world, but I’ve lived / worked extensively (“short-term lived”) in a few countries especially in Europe. I see similar pattern everywhere.

Where I live in Austria there is racism against slavs — yes, slavs are white, but you can see the different bone structure in their faces. You have people who rant against these “foreigners” just like Texans do against “Mexicans.” The Austrians ranting are named Bednarik or Pavlak. I’d bet a lot that Mr. Pavlak’s grandparents came from the same towns as the people he is ranting about.

Shortly put: People are about as good or evil about equally around the world.
