Ironically you miss OPs point by making it a "black and white" issue. "White" privilege is actually "caucasian privilege." Slavs are white, but not causasian.

I'm an American of German/English descent. My wife is Czech with maybe some Russian. We live in Central Europe. On first meeting (and often forever), my wife is ALWAYS treated differently by white western Europeans than I am. She is seen as "not quite white" by Western Europeans. That is OPs point.
