Interesting list. You appear to have missed a lot in the Rocky story and also about boxing. Where your head is at makes a huge difference. Creed did not take the fight seriously. Rocky did.

In June 2019 Andy Ruiz Jr. was a 25-1 underdog against Anthony Joshua. AJ did not take the fight seriously. Ruiz did. Ruiz was a better fighter in real life than Rocky was in the original film, thus Ruiz surprised everyone, most notably AJ - and won. Rocky still lost, he just went the distance.
