Interesting choice of words in your answer. Why do I have to "force" myself to "not" do something. The general answer is completely obvious, "Yes, it is a bad idea to eat when you're not hungry." The answer devolves from there quickly.
Depending on your personal situation, how "bad" eating when you're not hungy is relative. If you're a very active man eating regularly with body fat under 10%, eating when you're not hungry once or twice a week is a complete non-issue. If you're a sedentary man with a congestive heart condition and 50% body fat, eating when you're not hungry can be a nail in your coffin.
I would argue that healthy eating is not a problem. The problem is in highly capitalistic cultures where unhealthy eating is very profitable for certain industries like healthcare and consumer goods.
