In the last ~30 years the "charisma" factor has gotten much more prevalent, and I friggin' hate it. I don't want a president who is fun to have a beer with, unless he's going to be talking my ear off about policy and how to bring corruption back down to manageable levels.

Bill Clinton is a rapist and probably a child molester. George W Bush set up a torture system to create "intelligence" to cover up his war crimes. But supposedly they are nice to have a beer with.

I'll take a boring guy like Bernie or Gore or Dole over those "charismatic" guys.

Non-charismatic Carter put solar panels on the White House - in the 1970s! Charismatic Reagan took them off. 'Nuf said.
