I'm younger than you by nearly a decade and my wife more than a decade younger than me. My wife and I are best friends. We laugh and joke and travel and go to dinner and have awesome sex together, among other things.

Before I met my wife I was happy being alone. I am very happy with her. I don't "need" her to survive. But I enjoy sex and cuddling (a lot) and all the things you do with your girlfriends as well. Just because I don't have a vagina doesn't mean I can't hang out with my wife. She's my roommate with benefits.

I have a semi-regular training partner. She has a vagina, but we don't have sex or cuddle. She is just a good weight training partner so we share that. I had another friend for several years who is a girl that I played golf with, but also didn't sleep with. My wife doesn't like weight training or golf.

I choose who I do things with based upon mutual interest and personailties, not physical plumbing.
