I'm with you there. I quit over 6 years ago (in my early 50s) and my only regret is not doing it 30 years sooner. I don't miss it at all.
I'll be interested to see how you feel in a year. I've always done a lot of sports, but I was doing more drinking and fewer sports in the last decade or so. Now I have energy to train like 20 years ago.
I also sleep MUCH better.
