I'm not a Zelensky fan, but I don't envy his position. I'm 100% sure he was promised everything from the US, and is pissed as hell that he is not getting it while his country gets destroyed, and his chance to get out of this conflict alive drops.

Zelensky tried (maybe it was faked, who knows) to get the right wing groups to back off in 2019. The US did not back him up in those efforts.

Since then credible reports say Zelensky is under pressure from the small but very powerful right wing forces in his government and military that have directly threatened his life.

So I'm guessing those right-wing Ukrainian groups and Ukraine's western backers are Zelensky's target audience. i.e. those with the power to kill him and his donors.

Kind of the same situation in the US, IMO. Kennedy was the last president to openly go against the MIC, and we all saw how that turned out.
