I'm guessing there will be an appeal based on Waters statements (misguided to my mind). Then things will be dragged out a couple more years in which so many other murders/lynchings will have occurred that George Floyd's will just be remembered as "that really bad one."
When the trial finally moves forward there will be a mistrial declared due to not being able to find an impartial jury or some other technicality for Chauvin to be let off either completely or with virtually no punishment.
I'm saving this comment to see in a few years how my prediction matches up with reality.
