I'm an engineer working in oil and gas for almost 35 years. My company's specialties are finished product blending and oil movements, so I know a lot about that side of the story.
I love EVs so much that my wife and I already plan that our next vehicle will be a hybrid. I have researched a lot on the subject, and talked with other engineers in great detail about this.
All that is the "street cred establishment" prelude to my comment.
I disagree with a lot of the details of your post, but agree with the general sentiment. 2035 we will not all be driving EVs.
Being in the business, I watch the news on this, and countries are already starting to backtrack on those 2030 and 2035 deadlines. Expect that to continue and accelerate, even as EV breakthroughs like Toyota's stated 2027-8 solid-state battery come online.
