I'm all for UBI if 1) It doesn't mean we get rid of public assistance for those at the very bottom and 2) we implement protections for people FIRST so that people at the top - e.g. landlords (I'm one) - will not be able to just jack up prices if they know every renter has more cash to spend on rent.
