I'm a supporter of EVs and renewable energy. I want both to succeed. Yet for maybe quibbling about nuclear and disagreeing about old batteries, I think your conclusions are for the most part correct, particularly on the most important points: extraction and the full supply chain carbon footprint.

Right now, and for the near future, these are real issues. If we don't get solid state EV batteries, I think EVs will end up being a fad. EVs as currently produced cannot be scaled up to replace ICE vehicles, except in niches.
