If Tesla AI can't figure out when to turn off and on the windshield wipers, automatic wipers being a functionality about 100 years old, how can anyone have confidence that it can handle what to do on a dark, rainy/snowy street with bad lane markings?
The USP (unique selling point) of a Tesla is that the technology is so far better than any other car that the little things like bad build quality (in general) can be overlooked. There are (IMO) too many people complaining about too many issues to make the car worth the money.
I'll take less tech (and a hybrid) from a company who knows how to build cars first and do tech second.
