I was never so poor that a majority of these points were part of my life (e.g. never used food stamps), but I can remember quite a few of these from when I was a kid and money was very tight (e.g. #23, #31, #54).
I never thought of myself as poor, but we were clearly "close to poor" as we were very close to very many of these points. For example: We never, ever ate out. Not even McDonalds. Mom learned to sew and recycled clothes (e.g. she repurposed a gifted house coat for my sister into a winter coat).
It is insane to me how the US treats its poor. The richest country the world has ever seen, and yet poor people live no better than 3rd world countries.
