I was also angered. It is true that the evil deeds of the past don't justify Russia's invasion. However, by NOT having Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, etc. arrested and tried for war crimes, we set the stage for Russia's invasion. Because if international law doesn't apply to us (the US), then why should it apply to Russia?
It started blatantly with NATO's bombing of Serbia - NOT sanctioned by the UN. Russia called it out then, that it was setting a very bad precedent.
Our bombing of Libya is another example.
Our invasion and CURRENT occupation of Syria. Illegal by international law.
None of that excuses an invasion by Russia. But we have no moral right to condemn Russia when we are currently illegally occupying 1/3 of Syria, and just stole 6 billion dollars from Afghanistan, starving their people.
