I was almost a NC kid. I made it clear to my mom that either there were changes or we were done. My mom being my mom, she was unable to change much, particularly regarding my wife. I didn't visit for 10 years. After that rarely instead of multiple times a year. It was the best decision of my life. I only wish I'd done it decades earlier.
