I was a kid about 800 years ago. We'd drive across country every holiday to visit relatives. We couldn't afford to fly or go to places like Disney World until I was in college.

This was before cell phones or even handheld Nintend. Suffice it to say there was a lot of dead time. When I'd tell my folks that I was bored, they'd tell me that is part of life, and to find something to do. I did. I have my own consulting company for 25+ years and design or help design our products, so I guess being bored and finding something to do worked.

BTW: I'm glad I chose to a different method of relieving boredom than Jeffery Toobin. ;-)
