I think you're 100% correct in your analysis, and I think as well that you're thinking too big for the Democratic "leaders." They know Joe sucks. They know the election is going to be super-tight. They know that Minnesota is seen as a "battleground" state, as well as Wisconsin.

I was born in Wisconsin and grew up there and Minnesota before being dragged against my will to Texas - ok, my dad was transferred, but I was really not wild about Houston, and still don't like it. So I understand the folks who live there at least somewhat.

For the last few years my company has been doing work in Minnesota, and I've made new friends there just miles from where I used to live and talk politics with them.

I think the D establishment is looking small-bore at how Amy will drag the demented rapist Biden over the top in MN and WI, and maybe that will be the margin he needs to win the Electoral College. I don't think there is anything deeper to it than that.
