I think it all depends on the people involved.

As a very young engineer, I had an office romance with another very young engineer with whom I worked nearly daily. One very key point here is that we were at the same level in the organization.

I broke up with her (for a very stupid and regretable reason) but we continued working together. She eventually left the company and married another lucky guy. I still feel bad about breaking up with her decades later because I was just a dumb young guy with lots of issues I wouldn't work out for many more years.

But I never talked about what we did in bed. I'm a professional FFS and I'm not an asshole. AFAIK she didn't either, as she is also a professional / non-asshole.

I will admit that I have had sex with our company's procurist. There have definitely been some very inappropriate activities at the office, particularly after hours. Fortunately, I own the company so HR isn't going to fire my ass. And the procurist is my wife. But it is still totally inappropriate...which makes it that much hotter. ;-)
