I think Gore got a bum rap on that internet quote. He didn't claim to create the internet, but he was instrumental in the internet becoming what it is today. A distinction with a difference.

Regarding the 2000 election, I do NOT forgive him. His political cowardice is akin to Bernie's in 2016 in NOT standing up to the establishment of his own party.

Bush was one of the worst presidents for the US ever. I was already living abroad during 9/11 and the Iraq war. That war changed how the world saw the US forever.

If we had spent the the last 20 years REMAINING world leaders in renewable energy (we WERE back then) instead of world leaders in military invasions, we would be in a very different place today.

We can never know if 9/11 would have happened under Gore, or the invasions of Aghanistan and Iraq, plus the preparations for Syria and Libya. We can know for sure that Dick war-criminal Cheney would NOT have been VP (and the real power in the Bush WH), Donald Rumsfeld would not have been Sec. Defense, Karl Rove would not have been in charge of US propaganda, etc., etc.
