I sure wish you’d provided details on how you convinced your Dunning Cougar he was too good to work for you.

I’ve made mistakes like everyone else in my career. One of the three really big ones was mishandling a Dunning Cougar situation badly. My inflated ego played a (bad) role, but I still am not sure what I could have done differently, and I value your expertise. Hopefully some future column will provide details and give me some input before a similar situation arises (although I’m really hoping for “never”).
