I love cats (and dogs, for the record). The best meme I've seen regarding cats says are assholes because they are natures perfect killing machines but they are only 8 pounds so we just keep picking them up and snuggling them.

Anthropomorphism (giving animals human traits) of revenge, spite, etc. is just wrong. Animals just "are." Enjoy them as they are, and remember that people are animals, too.
