I like this post in general, but this is useless advice under the "But what if they're shy?" heading. It is like telling an introvert, "When you go to a party, just announce to the group up front that even though you'll be standing in a corner being quiet all evening, you're really having a good time." They are not going to do it, because if they could, they wouldn't be shy (introverted), now would they?

I know all this because in a previous life segment that was me, and I had to learn to get out of it. I'll try to find time for a separate post on this.
