I learned about Tesla getting my electrical engineering degree back in the last century.

I'm impressed with Elon Musk as a grifter of the public purse and a self-marketer on the order of Donald Trump. Tesla cars? Not so much.

Like Paypal and SpaceX, Tesla looks to me more like a way to get rich(er) before cashing out than anything else. Musk is certainly nothing like Tesla.

Tesla was almost all about science and little about business. Thus Edison died very wealthy using other's ideas and Tesla died a poor genius.
