I knew about Tatras, but not that they killed so many Nazi officers. Very interesting!
A couple of technical corrections:
1. SSC has admitted finally that the Tuatara did NOT go over 300 mph (link below).
2. F1 cars are not rear-engine, they are mid-engine. "Rear-engine" means the center of mass of the engine is behind the rear wheels, like a 911. Porsche took decades to engineer the killer oversteer tendencies of the 911 out. The engine in an F1 car is behind the driver, but in front of the rear wheels. Although they are often referred to as "rear engined," they are actually mid-engines.
