I hope you're right, and that this leads us to address the real problem (IMO) that big corporations and particularly the stock markets have turned their reason for existence on its head.
The corporations should exist only to fulfill needs of society. The stock market should exist only for the purpose of provided needed capital that individual founders can't raise on their own. Both are long term interests. Currently only short term interests are followed by both corporations and the stock market, and both to the great detriment of society.
We need to change that before it's too late.
