I haven't seen any of the movies on either of your lists, but many from the comments. So I'll add my own: "Hotel Rwanda." From the research I've done, the film neither pulled punches nor exaggerated the violence of the true story. My wife and I joke that if we're ever "too happy," we'll rewatch that awesome film.
