I guess maybe if you treat your employees like widgets they will act like widgets. I'm happy if a new employee can even start to contribute significantly to projects on their own in 2-3 months, and take on individual tasks in 6 months.
My company makes very complex and integrated systems in multiple industry verticals. It takes years to gain expertise in just one vertical.
That is a shitty corporate culture you are describing. It is NOT what exists everywhere.
