Sarcasm aside, I went to Vegas once driving through the west visiting the awesome national parks out there. I wanted to see it for real after seeing it in so many films and tv shows.

We stayed at some giant casino hotel (I think it was Excalibur) because it was cheap. I went to check out the gambling. I can't even remember if I gambled.

My feeling in the casino was about the same as yours. That was at least 25 years ago, probably 30. I never went back to Vegas.

I get there are people who get a thrill out of gambling. OK. As long as they're not hurting anyone, who am I to judge? I'm just not one of them.
