I get where your heart is at, but it IS a slippery slope. Even if you personally wouldn't expand carve outs for smokers, drinkers, fat people, etc., doesn't mean it won't happen.

Because it already is happenening. Some insurance companies offer discounts if you get a phyiscial, or show that you are healthy or get more healthy. That is the same as a penalty for smoking. Such a high profile situation like Covid-19 would offer a wonderful precedence for more carve outs.
