I found this very intersting. I went the other way, from the US to Austria, then back, then back here in Austria for a long time. And have traveled around most all the EU, some places very extensively and even lived in the Netherlands 1/2 time for several years.

Austria appears to be more US like than Scandinavia (NL even more so). A bit less socialist and more capitalist, which can be good and/or bad depending on your point of view.

Someday I need to write about this. Again, very interesting.
