I feel horrible for the Ukrainians being ordered to attack well defended Russian positions with a hodge-podge of Western weapons and virtually no air cover. The result is a lot of equipment being destroyed and a lot of lives lost. Simply horrible.

The US has already pledged to replace the equipment. The losses are real.
